A connection between a candidate and a hiring manager allows for easy messaging and communication between the two, much like a contact list.
To view connections to other users click Social on the top navigation menu and select the Connections option:
This will display the My Connections screen, listing all candidates you have connected with:
The following information is displayed about each user:
- Profile picture (if uploaded)
- Name – click to display the Candidate Overview
- Location
- Job title
- Number of connections in common – click to display a pop-up listing candidates with shared connections:
Sort by
The enabled letters in the Sort by: list indicate you have connections with surnames beginning with this letter. Click on an enabled letter to display the candidates:
To re-display all connections, click the Total connections: number:
Search and connect
You can search your connections for a user or search all users. To search, select either My Connections or All from the dropdown and type a first name, surname or both into the textbox. Press enter or click the ‘search’ icon to search:
If searching all users, you will be given the option to connect to users you are not yet connected to. To do this, simply click the Connect button to the right of their details:
A pop-up confirmation message will be displayed and the user will be shown as ‘Connected’:
To return to your connections, click Back to Connections:
People you may know
A list of suggested users to connect with will be displayed under the People you may know heading. You can view a user’s Candidate Overview by clicking on their name or connect with them by clicking the Connect icon:
A pop-up confirmation message will be displayed and the user will be shown as ‘Connected’:
To delete users from the suggested list, simple click the x icon to the right of their name.
To see all suggested users, click the See more button located at the bottom of the list:
This will open the People you may know screen listing all suggested users. You can view a user’s Candidate Overview by clicking on their name or connect with them by clicking the Connect button to the right of their details:
When the Connect button is clicked, a pop-up confirmation message will be displayed and the candidate will be shown as ‘Connected’.
To return to the My Connections screen, click the Connections link at the top of the screen.
Delete a connection
Delete a connection by hovering the mouse over the candidate you wish to delete and clicking the x icon:
This will display the Remove Contact pop-up. Click the Confirm button to delete the contact or click the Cancel button to cancel the action.
When Confirm is clicked, the pop-up will close and a confirmation message will be displayed to confirm that the contact has been deleted.
Pending Connections
Click on the Pending Connections tab to display users that have requested to connect with you. If users are listed, you can view their Candidate Overview by clicking on their name.
Click the Accept button to accept the request or click Ignore to reject the request.
