If your ATS has the appropriate integration, it’s possible to request a ‘Right to Work’ check for your candidates in the application stage.
The key benefit of this feature is that you can get these checks underway during the application process, instead of upon hire. Doing this will shorten your time to hire so you can ultimately get your new employee started in their role sooner. The checks (which are done via a 3rd party integration) will take up to 2 weeks to come back confirmed (or not).
Here’s where it sits within the ATS, and how to use it –
Notice, within the Job Editor (under the Jobs tab) just underneath selecting a template, questionnaire and video interviewing –
(If you have the appropriate integration) You can select ‘Right to Work Check’ simply click ‘Apply to this job’ and select from the options provided –
Here is the process the candidate will undergo, within their application to your vacancy –
Andy finally, back within the ATS – here’s where you, the recruiter will see where the candidate is in the process with their Right to Work check –
Notice the colour coding on the icons below –
Green = the candidate has successfully completed their RTW check – they have provided significant evidence and have been cleared for this check
Amber = the candidate’s check is pending confirmation from the 3rd party
Red = the candidate has failed their RTW check
Black – the candidate has failed to provide the requested RTW documentation within the timeframe set in the process
